Well it's no secret that I've been slacking with my posts, but times are busy and with an unreliable laptop, it's been difficult. To all those who viewed my page the last few months, even though I posted zilch, I thank you!
The summer had it's ups and downs. I dated someone, which didn't last very long. Long story short, she's nothing but a liar. However, to the positives of the summer. Went to two Riders games, one with my mom and one with my brother, Zachary. Won one and lost one. Bought a new (to me) car in August. A 2007 Ford Focus. Jace is growing like a weed, and if it's possible, I love him more and more every time I see him.
The fall was filled with my favorite time of year...playoff baseball! Even though my Blue Jays weren't playoff bound this year, I'm still a baseball fan so I enjoyed it regardless. Come November were the CFL playoffs with my Riders aiming to play in the Grey Cup at home! The Riders and Jays are my two favorite teams and I wanted so desperately to watch the Riders win at home.
After watching heartbreaking losses in 2009 and 2010, I got my wish and watched them win the Grey Cup! Great Christmas gift haha! Despite issues with my basement suite recently, I'm looking forward to spending Christmas with my family! Thanks to everyone who's checked out my page, and a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you!

Jace
Ok, so this is my first post in almost three months. I've been slacking, I know, but I'm gonna try and keep up with posts on a semi-regular basis. I wanna take some time to talk about my nephew, Jace.
To start, I'm just going to clarify that I am not blood related to Jace, he is my stepsister's son, but he is still family. Jace was born October 17, 2011 to my stepsister, Miranda, and her now ex bf, Greg. Me and my stepsister have always butted heads, and I swore I would not be a part of this child's life, because I didn't even wanna be a part of Miranda's life. I know it sounds cliche, but as soon as I held him for the first time, I was in love.
Just over a year and a half later, we are starting to form a bond. He smiles every time he sees me, gives me hugs and comes to me and WANTS me to pick him up, instead of me going to him and just doing it myself. He has been removed from my stepsisters care, and is being taken care of by my parents for the time being, which means I get to see him more often. Everytime I go to my parents' place, it has become a ritual that I help my mom give Jace his nightly bath, and I thoroughly enjoy just watching him play around in the tub. I'm always posting pics and showing him off.
It's taken me over an hour to post this because I fell asleep! So I'm saying goodnight!

Gettin back at it
Well, this is my first post in almost two months. A lot has happened in the last few days and I feel like I need to vent a little bit. I went to see my family doctor on Monday for some advice on my estranged relationship with my biological father. While he gave me some good advice, I didn't enjoy sitting there talking about it because I hate talking about it. It upsets me every single time. Put me in a foul mood all day yesterday. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do yet and it's been stressing me out quite a bit. To top it off, I got home after work yesterday to find a new spot in my ceiling that had been dripping water from all the damn snow we got during the winter that is now melting away. Dripped all over my kitchen table (not that I use it to eat, but that's beside the point), the wall behind the table and the blinds in my living room window. Spent almost an hour cleaning it up just to have another spot in my ceiling right above my bro's couch start dripping. Yesterday just seemed like a shit show. Today was better, even though yesterday didn't set the bar very high. Hit the gym after work to help relieve some stress and am about to game out for a bit to help with the stress as well. Also with baseball season approaching next week, that's getting me pretty excited as well. That's it for tonight though! Thanks for reading!

Wow
So 29 page views on the first full day of my blog was unexpected! Thanks to all who came and checked it out! I figured I'll introduce myself to those who don't know me, and tell you a little bit about myself.
I was born Kyle Joseph Marshall on June 10, 1987, to Val and Doug. I was born in my hometown of beautiful Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada (for any non-Canadians reading this). We moved around a lot when I was young, but mostly stayed in Sask.
We lived in B.C. for a short time however, which is where my younger brother, Zachary, was born in 1990. We moved back to Sask, eventually landing in Moose Jaw. My parents separated when I was 9, divorcing a short time later. After the separation, my mom moved me and my brother back to Saskatoon and I haven't lived anywhere else since, with the exception of a 3 month camp counsellor job in Alberta during the summer of '07.
I graduated from E.D. Feehan Catholic High School with the Class of 2005 (barely, but I did lol) but haven't really been back to school since. I was enrolled in a local tech school in the fall of '07 for an automotive course, but dropped out within a week. I realized quite quickly that it wasn't what I wanted to do and to be completely honest, it scared the crap outta me. Haven't been back to post-secondary.
I've jumped around from job to job during the 7 years since HS but landed at Ashley Furniture almost a year ago and (most days) I love it. Although I'm not staying there forever, I am staying until I go back to school. Whenever that may be haha
Well you now know a little bit about me. Hopefully I haven't bored you to death and you all keep coming back!

First post
So this is my first blog post. Ever lol. I affectionately titled it "Sessions" after something me and my former roommate, Josh, used to do. Every once in awhile he would notice that something was on my mind. Being my best friend, he can just tell by looking at me when something is weighing on my shoulders. So we would sit there in the living room, lights off (hallway light was on though so we weren't sitting there in complete darkness) and we would just talk. About anything and everything. I would vent and he would vent. We'd talk about our days, etc. He eventually named these little talks as Sessions. It became a staple during our almost year and a half as roommates. It's something that I'll always cherish because I feel like, even though we were already close, that it brought us THAT much closer. So now you know the history behind the name of my blog. It is after 3 a.m. here now and I am super tired so I am heading to bed. Goodnight all!
